What to Expect

Your First Visit: What to Expect
Step 1: After booking your appointment, our scheduling system will send you the necessary paperwork. If you prefer, you can also fill it out when you arrive — just swing by 15 min early!
Step 2: We’ll review your completed paperwork together, discussing your current health concerns, complaints, and wellness goals. Unlike many offices, I provide treatment during your first visit, unless otherwise indicated.
-
Step 3: Before we begin treatment, I’ll walk you through all your care options and explain my recommendations. I’ll go over what the adjustment is going to look like and answer any questions you may have. I may also suggest incorporating acupuncture to reduce stress or nutrition counseling to address inflammation.
Step 4: If this is your first adjustment, rest assured — we’ll take our time to explain the process and move at a pace that’s comfortable for you.
-
Step 5: After your treatment, you may be given "homework" or specific guidelines to follow in the coming days. This is also the perfect opportunity for you to ask any questions that might have come up during the appointment.
Step 6: Finally, we’ll discuss how often you may need to return for treatment, based on your unique needs. Every patient is different, and I will offer my professional guidance while respecting your ability to make decisions based on how you feel.
Step 7: We’ll then schedule your follow-up visit, where we’ll review your experience after the first adjustment and evaluate your care goals!
-
We make sure to address any complaints or conditions you come in with at each visit. So, your adjustment may be a little different every time until we find what works well for you.
When you come into the office, you can help yourself to a complimentary beverage, tea, or electrolytes while you wait. We try to keep wait times to an absolute minimum. You’ll then be greeted by our front desk or by me, and we’ll take you back to one of our treatment rooms for an adjustment.
Post adjustment, we’ll get you checked out and make sure to set up your next visit for you if you’d like. You're welcome to hang out in the waiting room and take a breather before heading back out to reality.

You are not alone...
“Colby has been an amazing resource during my second pregnancy. From acupuncture and adjustments to support conception. But during this second pregnancy in comparison to my first when my back was in constant pain, having Colby’s help I feel so much better this time around. Much less lower back pain, felt less pressure on my pelvic floor with adjustments. My baby was breech which he flipped on his own also with the help of getting adjusted. At 9 months pregnant still able to be active and chase a toddler around - I owe a lot to Colby!
— Current Patient“I’ve seen a number of chiropractors in the past, but Dr. Colby is, without a doubt, the best. She’s incredibly hands-on, attentive, and truly takes the time to listen and provide personalized care. I even make the trip from Portland because she’s worth it! During my pregnancy, she’s been absolutely amazing, and her adjustments have helped tremendously with my hip and lower back pain! I can’t recommend her enough!”
— Current Patient“Every detail was thoughtfully executed. We're thrilled with the outcome.”
