“Our food should be our medicine and our medicine should be our food.”
This will not be your run of the mill, “eat more vegetables” nutrition consultation. Nutrition visits in our office are more like lifestyle visits. On the initial visit we are going to look at many factors (most of which you may not even realize are relevant) that can influence your gut, digestions, and overall wellness. This is a complete lifestyle assessment.
We will then work on a realistic plan that fits your goals and daily routine.
After the visit, we will usually have you do a detailed food journal so we can break down what is and isn’t working for you. From there we can go into recipes, meal prepping, supplementation, grocery shopping, and everything you may need to be successful in you or your family’s nutrition journey.
What does a FIRST VISIT look like?
What BENEFITS could I see by working on my nutrition?
Everyone has heard the expression, “you are what you eat”, but most of us haven’t taken the time to process what that actually means. Every cell of our being is made up of the building blocks that we give it which come from our food. By improving upon your nutrition you are literally upgrading the cells in your body.
Nutrition is way more than dieting and looking good. It’s about improving the quality and quantity of your life. By working on your nourishment you may notice improvements in the following things:
This is just a small list of all the benefits you may see from upgrading your nutrition. The best benefit of all is knowing what your body needs and how to take care of it as that is the most valuable life skill that most of us aren’t taught anymore.
-
Decreasing inflammation in the body will improve the way you feel and function. With less inflammation you will notice improved joint/overall pain, digestion, puffiness, etc.
-
Our food and beverages are what fuel our entire body and brain throughout the entire day. The quality of what we feed it matters!
-
By balancing our blood sugar, nervous system, and body we can decrease mood swings, low points, depressive episodes, and even anxiety. When we clean up our systems we allow the brain to run on clean energy.
All of these are so closely tied to out gut health!
-
We discuss the wide variety of factors that can affect your hormone health, from food to sunlight to chemicals. By making simple nutritional and lifestyle changes we can directly affect the hormones you’re producing.
Our patients have reported a direct impact on fertility, menstrual cycle pain and irregularity, energy levels and more.
-
Through diet and lifestyle changes we are so often able to make huge improvements in autoimmune conditions or resolve symptoms entirely. From crohn’s disease and IBS to psoriasis and lyme!
-
Improve digestive motility, constipation, regularity, IBS, crohn’s symptoms, food intolerances and sensitivities without restrictive diets.
-
Balance blood sugar naturally throughout the day to minimize crashes and insulin spikes.

Item description
-
The list goes on and on. The things you consume are the building blocks of your body. By fueling it with what it was made to consume we have seen improvements in almost any areas in our nutrition members.
-
This is kind of up to you! The most important thing is that we make a plan or give guidelines that you will actually implement. So if you’re a structured meal plan person we can make you one!
-
Absolutely, I often tailor sessions to certain conditions or goals we want to work on. That could look like supplementation and foods for anxiety or what to watch out for if you have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)!
-
The most important thing to me is that we get you to a place where you feel confident in your nutrition and nourishment. For some people that may happen sooner than others and that’s okay.
I usually recommend a 3 session minimum prebook. This is about the amount of time we need to make a full assessment on your health and outline a plan for your goals.
